What is the mass and volume of blood pumped by your heart in one day?
When at rest, your heart pumps blood at the rate of 5.00 liters per minute.

Well, first we need two values, one is the cardiac frequency, and the volume of blood that is pumped by the anteromedial ventricle every time it contracts. Taking a ,lets say regular heart rate of 75 beats per second and the regular volume of blood the left ventricle pumps at 80ml/beat we would have:
75 beats/min * 80ml/beat = 6000ml/sec = 6 L/min
A day has 24 hours*60minutes = 1440mins
Wich gives us 6 L/min * 1440mins/day = 8640 L/day
Now 7% percent of the mass of the body is considered blood and the amount of blood in the body is about 5.25L, the if we take a regular 150 pounds subject we would have the following:
150 pounds * 7% = 10.5 pounds of blood
then 10.5 pounds of blood is about 5.25L of blood, so we calculate the mass of the volume pumped daily and we have
10.5 pounds = 5.25L
?? pounds = 8640L
(8640L*10.5pounds)/5.25L = 17280 pounds of blood pumped per day
